Surprising Performance for the Price
By K. Ochiai
More than 10 years ago, I had Simmons scopes on all my airguns.
They offered a lot of performance for the money.
I needed a short bodied scope for a new project, and the Simmons Pro Target was the perfect choice.
Mead Optics (the makers of telescope and microscopes) now owns Simmons, and the optic quality is better than ever.
Crisp and clear glass with great performance even in low light conditions.
For the price and performance, this scope is hard to beat.
It's not Leupold quality, but it beats anything else in it's price range.
The only downside with side focus scopes is they are unusually heavy.
The side focusing mechanism somehow adds a lot of weight to the scope.

Ok but has issues
By Steven
The optical quality is very good. The parallax adjustment works well. The zoom is smooth. The vertical adjustment is accurate with nice clicks of some sort of detent. The lateral adjustment is terrible. It is hard to turn and jumps multiple "clicks" when it does turn. There are no noticeable detent clicks on the lateral adjustment.
I thought I could live with it and waited too long to return it to Amazon. I sent it back to Simmons to have it repaired. Simmons charged $10 shipping to fix it in spite of the fact that it was Defective out of the box. Please buy the 22 Mag 3x9, Vortex Crossfire or a Weaver. I know these work out of the box. I have several. If you buy it, check it when it arrives and send it back if it's bad.
