54-Plex is all you want
By Rob's Review
Great scope. Clear and bright. Leupold quality at half the price. The 4-plex is less confusing than something with extra circles and dots. I can estimate my bullet drop without extra aids cluttering up the FOV. Redfield website has a good video on leupold scope mounts - its worth the watch. I like this scope well enough, I'll probably purchase another.

5Good as any Nikon Monark
By houstonrn
This is an awesome scope, 12X is very bright and sharp. The 4 plex does what it says. Scope is light and stiff without being brittle. Excellent for long range shots and 4X is good for scanning. You need to zero at 200 yards to use the 4 plex at 12X power. If you don't have access to a 200 yard range, aim high 2-3 inches at 100 yards depending on your ammo.

3good hunting scope for the money
By Curt B
The Redfield Revolution 4x12x40mm is a good hunting scope...not great...not top of the line...but it would serve the needs of a average persons shooting habits.

The down side...the finish is really thin. If you have the means to add a Cerakote paint job to this scope..that would be a good thing. Finish is marginal at best.

The up side...scope optics are clear...power adjustments work easily and smooth...the cross hairs are defined well enough....and this scope does hold the point of impact. Using this scope on a 30-06 I built. Scope windage and elevation adjusted without any problems. Point of impact again did not change shot after shot. I have to give this scope credit for this function but of course this shows as well that the action is true/straight and of course I lapped the scope rings/torqued the screws to factory specs/etc to assure proper scope install without any/much stress...very little..being placed on scope tube. This problem that many people have...misaligned scope rings/mounts/stress on scope tube...does cause many a scope being "said" to be defected. I have seen such and shooter would not listen to reason as to why a/any particular scope was having problems...installation error.

This scope is decent for the money...it is not a tactical or target scope and I would consider this scope at the low end of starter scopes. It does work without much decernable distortion looking thru scope when aiming...power ajustments are smooth...decent eye relief...POI does not shift...easy POI of windage/elevation knobs.

Will I buy another Redfield Revolution scope again. Yes. For the averge persons shooting needs....hunting once a year and not going on some hardcore hunting excursion...this scope will satisfy these needs and you will not need to worry about POI shifting around or cope fogging up or water messing up the scope..rain/snow.

Had this scope in marginal cold weather testing..no problems.

Last observtion...if you can afford to spent the bucks...it is always best to buy upper end qulity optics. I bought this scope for a particular reason...to get a scope on a rifle build that someone can go hunting with. I have confidence this scope is of high enough quality...thru my own testing...that you need not worry if scope will function when it is time to pull the trigger on a deer/antelope/elk.

Hope this helps.
